June Birchbox

I have been subscribed to Birchbox for over a year and have been loving it! Birchbox is a  monthly subscription service in where you pay 10 dollars and you receive a box through the mail. Each box contains about five or six deluxe sized makeup related products. The products can range anywhere from make-up, hair care, skincare, or any lifestyle product. So far I have received a lot of hair products and make-up. I love the idea of Birchbox because you get to sample products without having to purchase the full-size product which can add up very quickly, especially when they high-end products. Also since they deluxe sized samples, they will last you enough for you to see if you like the product but also you can switch up often since they are small sized. I like to use a lot of the products like shampoo and lotion for when I travel that way if I spill it or leave it at the hotel its not a big deal, plus its easier to pack. Also a huge plus is that if you review the products you received in your monthly box you receive points which accumulate into money that you can spend.

This month's Birchbox was a good one! I received (insert number) products this month and I was excited about most of the products. I'll list below the products with a mini review of each.

1. The first product I tried was the LAQA & Co. Sheer Lip Lube Pencil in the color Bee's Knees. It is a coral nude color so it is not for everybody. For my skin and lip color this was a good shade because it was natural looking almost like my lip color but more nude so it is great for those days you wanna wear darker eye make-up. I plan on using this product a lot during the summer.

2. The second product I gravitated towards was the Cynthia Rowley eyeliner in the color black. This is going to become my everyday eyeliner this summer. It is creamy therefore easy to apply. The size I received was not full size yet it is going to last me a very long time. This came at a great time because I'm running out of my other pencil eyeliner is running out.

3. The third product I received was a Perlier body cream. This was a nice item to add to the box because you can always use more lotion especially if it is small enough to fit in your purse. It is very moisturizing and the smell is pleasant. It is thicker than regular body lotion but not as rich as hand cream.

4. The fourth product I received was my least favorite which is the SARAHPOTEMPA The Half Up. This is similar to Hot Bunz or anything you would use to make a sock bun/top knot. I am not a fan of huge buns I prefer loose messy buns. With that being said, I did not actually try this seeing how it is meant for the type of bun I'm not fond of.

5. The fifth product I received was an English Laundry Perfume. I enjoyed that this perfume sample unlike most has a spray nozzle which is super helpful. I am not a huge fan of the usual sample perfume container with the cap, it is difficult to actually apply.

I recommend this to anyone who likes to try out make-up without spending tons of money. If you would like to try Birchbox let me know and I will send you an invite. Also I left the lotion in my car which is why it is not in the picture.

April and May Favs

Okay so I am going to start of with a disclaimer: I had to combine my April and May favorites because Blogger would not save my post so I figured I would combing April and May and hope it uploads. Also someone requested that I post my top 25 songs on my April favorites but I decided that because of all the delays it would be better if I did it in my June favorites so I think that is what I'm going to end up doing. Well without any further ado my April and May favourites.

These past two months my music world has been bland. Between baseball coming back and school ending I haven't had much time to sit and listen to music, only whatever I listen to while I get ready. I haven't had a favorite song in a very long time but there are a few songs that I have been enjoying lately. Below I'll list some songs I've been liking lately:

Champagne Supernova by Oasis
Never Too Late by Three Days Grace
This Is For Keeps by The Spill Canvas
Sometime Around Midnight by The Airborne Toxic Event

Make-up wise these past two months I have tried out quite a few new products and loved two of them in particular. The first product is Smashbox's Full Exposure mascara. I have it in the shade black and I find it to be the perfect shade for an occasion. This mascara gives so much volume and length in a natural looking way. It reminds me of those natural looking false lashes, where you know they are fake lashes but they are not over the top. The second product I have been loving is The Balm's lip stain in the color Pie. It is a red colored stain but wearable for everyday. Since it is a lip stain it will stay on all day but it is sheer so it is not overwhelming. I would wear the mascara and the lip stain almost everyday to school and not feel like I am wearing too much make-up.

Foodwise this month I really enjoyed sandwiches. Some people may think that this is a bland meal but I really crave them. A really great sandwich can me so filling and so yummy. I would pair my sandwich with chips and an ice cold Pepsi and lunch is served. I go back and forth with sandwiches, there are times like now when I love them and have them all the time and because of that I go months where I don't crave them at all for a long period of time.
